Contrast for the New Year

A friend of mine sent me an email today with the subject: Cybercrooks stalk small businesses that bank online - USATODAY.com. He promotes a computer protection service and thought it was appropriate to broadcast an email to everyone.

When I asked he not send me any more like it and I referred to it as “doom and gloom” I got the following response:

“So, I'll bet you pay for PC protection already, why don't you use something that works?
This is not doom and gloom, it is helping people. If you didn't use it at all I could see your argument.

Interesting response I thought. So here’s what I wrote back:

“It’s not an argument, just a preference. I was playing with the verbiage “doom and gloom” which is in the same tone as the subject line you sent “Cybercrooks stalk small businesses that bank online”. Any one can tell it is intentionally designed to induce one thing only: fear. If the subject isn’t a doom and gloom statement then I am the Easter Bunny. Just because it is a reality/belief for a group of people doesn’t mean I want to contribute to it by focusing on it too (which I am doing now I admit), or any other focus that doesn’t feel good for that matter.

Here is my bottom line: If a business is promoting a product or service that is set up in such a way as to encourage an uncomfortable feeling, especially one as disconnected as fear, in order to sell their product, I choose to go elsewhere, even if it is for a similar product. Why would I want to align with a business/vibration that is outside my Vortex? Two negatives only produce a positive in math. I can appreciate that they, or you for that matter, can focus on whatever they want. And if that makes them/you feel better, bravo! I love freedom of choice and ideally can allow it for others as well.

The uncomfortable feeling I refer to is not due to the product, but the frequency it is being used to represent it. Way old school marketing. Or that it is WRONG that anyone can do what “cyber crooks” are doing. Morality has nothing to do with it. I understand the uncomfortable feeling I had when I read your headline was due to the way the topic was being presented due to my beliefs and that it is was contrary to how my Inner Being perceives it.

BTW, your statement “It is helping people” is a valid opinion or b-e-l-i-e-f. Pharmaceutical companies have long used this line of thought. They produce great products for a great number of sick people. Now they feel is it helpful for the common good to prepare for the illness even before it occurs. Some speculate even before the disease exists. Prevention is worth a pound of cure as their saying goes. I know, I use to use it. Still, treating symptoms is still treating symptoms. My intention for this New Year is to focus on something that feels better. Focusing on a war against anything is still focusing on and attracting more war, as it keeps the issue active by focus. Isn’t the Law of Attraction grand? Everything is fair.

“Trust in Allah, but tie up your camel” still reflects a level of fear and is still good advice if one feels the call of it. I use the software I do because it is what my tech put on it when he put in my new hard drive and I am very pleased, happy and satisfied with it. It costs less than a penny a year (so much for your bet) and renews itself (wow, easy AND fun). I also trust myself in where I go surfing, or even when to turn on my computer for that matter. If I sense sharks I stay out of the water. And not once has anyone from their company tried to scare me in using their product.

Thanks for the clarity towards the subject, I appreciate it. It is perfect as a lead in to the New Year and my first blog of 2010. I am visualizing a year of peace, prosperity, appreciation and allowance. I am glad you are in it. Happy New Year and…

I hope YOU have a wonderful New Year of clarity and great friends like this. Isn’t contrast fun?

Enjoy the day!

Perpetual new aging

Three men were talking in a tavern in Nazareth, 19 AD…

“Isn’t it wonderful I realized everything is perfect now and not be so concerned with what we are missing for the coming new age” said Jesus.

“So how many new ages do you think are ahead?” asked the Navigator.

“One” said the Captain “and it is Eternal so not worth the thought.”

Inspired Phoenix Thoughts…

I was reading the Abraham-Hicks' book Ask And It Is Given and this thought came to mind.

"Everyone, in fact everything, is always reaching for a better feeling regardless of how it may appear to others. Remember this and acceptance and appreciation are soon to follow…"

Have a great day!

Here’s my motto…

As an emotional success coach it took me a while to come up with a motto that truly reflected my life perspective. After a slight edit of something I received as an email a while ago from an unknown author I came up with the motto I choose to live by:

"My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely or pleasing anyone but rather it is to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand - merlot in the other, enthusiastic and ready for more and screaming “YAHOO! What a Ride!”

What's yours?

A failed experiment...

Inspired Phoenix says…

Every one of you has a natural talent or strength that would be considered genius by someone else. The challenge is most of you don’t know what it is.

Why? When most of you were young you listened to someone or had some kind of experience(s) that told you or demonstrated to you it wasn’t important. And you listened. And it became a belief.

Then your gift, rather than nurture and allow you to grow and express, became a burden. In other words it was a powerful driver that started to express itself negatively, rather than positively.

Result. After many years unhappiness or disillusionment seems to be the only experience presenting itself.

But the good news is that it can change. Simply and easily. How? First by finding out what your natural strengths and talents are. And by finding out what your natural interests and values are.

What do I mean by natural? Natural is That Which Come Easiest for YOU. Why is that important? Because what is easy is fun. For example, play is natural, easy and fun. So can any other part of your experience.

While there is an old school model of no pain, no gain, the experiment that has proven it is based on a false belief. While some stretching is good, push and pain equals adrenaline and that spells STRESS. Stress is the basis of any illness or imbalance regardless of what area it shows up in be it health, weight, addictions, relationships, finances, ad nauseum.

Think about what you enjoy and use that as your portal to a new and fun life today. Not tomorrow. Not yesterday. Just today.

Have a great day,
